We value highly the contribution parents make to the wellbeing of our school. Currently, we have two main bodies of parents who work tirelessly to support the school in raising funds which are used to further enhance the educational experience for the children.
The Round Table Cologne was founded more than 25 years ago.
Since then, the members of the Round Table have been collecting donations through various activities, like the Bake- and Popcorn Sale, the Used Uniform Sale and other events like the annual BBQ or the Christmas Tea Party.
Most recently, the Round Table has supported the Library with funds for books and bean bags, the Art Department for resources, a camera and tripod. Furthermore, the Round Table invested in a permanent table tennis table as well as benches for the playgrounds.
In addition, the Round Table organises a flea market in order to help to raise funds for the projects in which they are involved.
The International Club also supports the developments of children and young people.
It is a registered charity run by volunteers and the club aims to share cultural experiences and common activities with children and young people of differing origins.
With the help of contributions from members, the club has been able to successfully run charity projects all over the world which benefit other children in different countries as well as our own. Closer to home, the club helps organise projects with the involvement of St. George´s pupils as well as trips for our pupils of all ages.
The International Club organises an annual International Day, usually in late June or early July. Here, parents of various nationalities across the school run stands which celebrate their culture, foods and traditions. This event is one of the highlights of the school year.
We also have elected parent representatives who meet regularly with the school management in order to discuss developments within the school and to voice any general concerns which parents may have.
