Our main goal in Foundation Stage is to provide a warm, caring and family-oriented pre-school environment. Days are carefully planned to include direct teaching time, adult-led activities and free play for the children. This careful integration of learning opportunities within the day enables all children under our care to progress to their full potential in terms of their emotional, physical, creative and intellectual development, learning English through immersion and German in lessons with specialist teachers. In everything we do, we make sure to fulfil the standards outlined in the English Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
From Year 1 to Year 9, we follow the National Curriculum for England, Wales and Northern Ireland. In Year 12 and 13, students study towards the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Yes – our experience has shown that not only are our qualifications formally recognised in Germany, they offer pupils as many options within Germany as a qualification from a German state school. With the correct combination of subjects and grades, IGCSEs are equivalent to a Mittlere Reife and the IB Diploma Programme is equivalent to an Abitur. Our experienced staff are more than happy to advise students and parents on the detailed requirements of the German authorities.
