School: St.George’s School Munich Globalised learning and a diverse curriculum The Farulnizam family, from Malaysia, relocated to Munich with their daughter, Fiona, in late 2021. They have a history of living in different places, having previously lived in New Zealand, the Middle East and Australia. When searching for an international school for their daughter, after many months of lock-down in Malaysia, the family visited a few international schools in Munich and were impressed by St.George´s.
Upon joining St.George´s, Fiona and her family found a very welcoming environment. They were pleased with the small class sizes, the quick friendships Fiona formed, and the supportive teachers.
Over the past 2 years, Fiona has thrived academically and socially at St.George´s, developing friendships with peers from around the world. Fiona regularly learns phrases in her friends´ languages to show them how she cares.
says her mother. St.George´s has had a positive impact on Fiona´s development and learning, according to her parents.
The curriculum guidelines provided to the parents at the start of each term are very useful for Fiona´s parents to prepare and provide support for her learning at home.
When asked about what she appreciates most about our school, Fiona´s mother notes how seamless it was for Fiona to make friends and immerse herself in her learning. Munich has now become a wonderful new home for the family. They enjoy the city´s green spaces, safety and beauty of the surroundings.
